Welcome to Coast & Country
I’m Liane, founder of Coast & Country Home—a small candle business I started in January 2025.

What began as a little Christmas project in 2024, making handmade stocking fillers for friends, quickly grew into something much bigger. I fell down a rabbit hole of wax types, fragrance blends, and the science behind candle making. Along the way, I also discovered a love for designing my own labels—and from there, Candle of the Month was born.

I had never made a candle before, but I was determined to pour at least 20. Once my equipment arrived, I gave myself a crash course and got started. What surprised me most was the complete sense of calm I felt during the process.

The feedback from family and friends was overwhelming:
“You need to make more.”
“Can I order some for Christmas Day?”
“This is the best-smelling candle I’ve ever received.”

So, in January 2025, I created an Instagram page, built a website (a first for me!), sourced suppliers, and poured a new batch. It sold out in just one day. The next batch sold out in under four hours. Fast forward nine months, and I’ve created 28 different scented candles.

In April 2025, I launched my Candle of the Month subscription, designed to capture the essence of each month of the year. It’s where I get to combine creativity with storytelling—bringing each season to life through fragrance, names, and hand-designed labels.

All of my candles are made with soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and cotton wicks, and every order is packed using recycled materials. I never cut corners on scent load, and I believe eco-friendly packaging should be the standard—not an added cost.
